תופעה גאולוגית הנוצרת בעקבות לחץ של מאגמה על סלעי קרום כדור הארץ. הלחץ כה רב עד שנוצרים סדקים בשכבת הקרום, אשר משמשים כצינורות הזנה דרכם נפלטת המאגמה אל פני השטח.
